Dear Member

As you may know we held the last show at Swan Road on 20th September due to the farmer retiring. We will be carrying on with the club but we will be moving to Shady Acres, Hall Lane, Simonswood.  There are 3 or 4 ways of getting there depending where you are coming from.  I will give you all directions when I have driven them all, I only know one way at the moment.

We will be looking at the classes for next year as the new show ground has more rings than at Swan Road so we will hopefully be able to put on more classes. Maybe even Dressage.

You will find enclosed a list of this year’s point’s winners. The trophies will be given out at the Presentation Dance, which will be held on Saturday 21st November at Newton Social Club, Patterson Street, off Cross Lane. The Presentation will start at 8.00p.m.

If you can’t attend the dance please make sure a representative picks up your trophy, as they will not be kept for you.

Tickets are £4.50 each, this will include Hot Pot kindly donated by Karl’s Catering; you can get the tickets by either by filling in and returning the form enclosed with this letter, or by contacting the following people, Linda Armstrong (Liverpool) 0151 486 5128, Mo Chamberlain (Rainford) 0174488 2255.  It would be really helpful if you could let me know how many tickets you require before the evening so I can let Karl know how many spuds to peel.

If you have any queries regarding the points or if I have spelt a name wrong, please ring me as soon as possible and I will try to sort them out.

Will all 2008 Points Trophy winners please make sure they have them engraved as soon as possible as I will be contacting them soon to arrange their return.

Directions to the Club.

From Newton. On Crow Lane East, turn left at the traffic lights just past St. Helens College, onto Cross Lane, (Belvedere Road on the opposite side of the Road), then first right into Patterson Street.

From St. Helens. Go past Laffak Show ground on Common Road, it then goes into Crow Lane West, pass Vista Road on your left, then turn right at the lights into Cross Lane (St. Helens College is on the opposite right hand corner) and then first right into Patterson Street.
